Job Summary

To manage and oversee the day-to-day processing, settlement, reconciliation, and control of treasury products including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Fixed Income Securities, Repo, Derivatives, and Cash Management transactions. Ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and timely support to Front Office, Middle Office, Custodians, Agents, and Correspondent Banks.

Key Responsibilties

Treasury Transaction Processing

• Verify, process, and settle Treasury transactions across:
• Foreign Exchange (Spot, Forward, Swap)
• Money Market Deposits and Borrowings
• Fixed Income Securities (Government and Corporate Bonds)
• Repo and Reverse Repo Transactions
• Derivatives (IRS, CCS, TRS)
• Ensure timely confirmation, matching, and settlement of transactions.
• Monitor settlement queues and resolve breaks proactively.
• Resolve confirmation and settlement breaks.
  
  

Reconciliation & Control

• Perform daily reconciliation of:
• Nostro Accounts
• Custody Positions
• Treasury GL Accounts
• Securities Holdings
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks within agreed timelines.
• Monitor aged outstanding items and implement corrective actions

Corporate Actions & Securities Operations

• Process income events including:
• Coupon Payments
• Bond Maturities
• Dividend Collections
• Corporate Actions
• Coordinate with custodians, depositories, and counterparties.
• Ensure accurate processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.
  
  

Risk & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to Treasury policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor settlement risk, operational risk, and counterparty exposure.
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
• Maintain strong maker-checker controls and segregation of duties.
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with: Treasury Front Office, Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, Custodians, Correspondent Banks, and Market Counterparties
• Act as escalation point for operational issues and settlement failures.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive straight-through-processing (STP) initiatives.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
• Develop operational MIS and KPI reporting.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Supervise treasury operations analysts/executives.
• Review and authorize transactions within delegated authority.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure adequate team backup and succession planning.
  
  

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive straight-through-processing (STP) initiatives.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
• Develop operational MIS and KPI reporting.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Supervise treasury operations analysts/executives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or related field.

Required Experience

10+ years of Treasury Operations experience within a bank or financial institution.

Hands-on Experience In

FX Operations

Money Market Operations

Bonds & Securities Operations

Repo Processing

Derivatives Settlement

SWIFT Messaging (MT3xx, MT54x, MT320, MT330, pacs.008, pacs.009, camt.054 etc)

Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (Kondor, Fusion etc.).
