We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to strengthen our Warehouse & Inventory function and ensure smooth, accurate, and timely handling of goods across our supply chain.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Warehouse & Inventory will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, and supporting the organization's supply chain efficiency. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy, timely dispatch, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Manage daily inventory operations including inbound, outbound, and returns processing
- Ensure warehouse layout, storage practices, and handling procedures meet operational and safety standards
Inventory Management
- Ensure continuous inventory availability; proactively flag low-stock and out-of-stock SKUs
- Maintain inventory health through periodic checks, cycle counts, and wall-to-wall physical counts
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate inventory logs, records, and documentation
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics for warehouse and inventory operations
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for Management review
- Devise and implement strategies to optimize inventory control procedures and reduce inventory loss/shrinkage
- Document and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, procurement, logistics, and other cross-functional teams to ensure business goals are met
- Coordinate with vendors/3PL partners (if applicable) on inbound/outbound schedules
- Support audits and compliance checks as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or FMCG sectors
- Hands-on experience with inventory management systems / WMS software
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation
