About the Role
As Assistant Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to keep daily operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations across butchery, packing, dispatch, hot kitchen and delivery coordination
- Monitor order flow and ensure timely, accurate fulfillment of all customer orders
- Manage and supervise operational staff including butchers, packers, kitchen operations and drivers
- Track production output, yields, and wastage, and flag issues for correction
- Handle real-time problem solving, including order issues, delays, or quality concerns
- Coordinate with customer service to resolve delivery and order-related escalations
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and quality control standards across operations
- Assist in improving workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and optimizing processes
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in operations, preferably in food production, retail, or e-commerce
- Strong understanding of day-to-day operational workflows (production, dispatch, logistics)
- Experience managing or supervising frontline staff
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly under pressure
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and order fulfillment processes
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Experience in meat processing, butchery, or F&B production environments
- Familiarity with cold chain logistics or perishable goods handling
- Experience with delivery operations or last-mile logistics
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP or similar)
