Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Operations Manager role based in Alexandria, Egypt. The Assistant Operations Manager supports daily operational activities related to logistics and international trade, including coordination of shipments, documentation, and communication with suppliers, clients, and logistics partners. The role involves monitoring workflows, tracking orders, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of import and export processes. The person in this role assists in optimizing operational procedures, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and resolving day-to-day issues that may affect the supply chain. They also contribute to performance reporting, process improvement initiatives, and close collaboration with senior management to align operations with client needs and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Operational and logistical skills, including experience with shipping processes, supply chain coordination, and trade documentation.
- Organizational and administrative skills, such as workflow management, time management, and attention to detail in handling multiple tasks.
- Communication and relationship-management skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret operational data, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
- Proficiency with common office software and operational tools (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP or logistics platforms) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in operations or trade.
- Knowledge of international trade practices and regulations is highly beneficial; prior experience in shipping or foreign trade is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, Egypt, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach and commitment to high service standards.
