The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in Finance and FinTech. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, conducting high-quality research and scholarly activities in the field, and actively contributing to college and university administrative and service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, conducting high-quality research and scholarly activities in the field, and actively contributing to college and university administrative and service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and financial technology and other related disciplines.
- Develop and sustain a productive research agenda that leads to publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals, with the potential to contribute to interdisciplinary and practice-oriented research in finance and financial technology domain.
- Supervise student projects, internships, and theses, as applicable.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program enhancement, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, evolving industry practices, and the integration of digital tools used in finance and financial technology.
- Actively participate in departmental, college, and university committees and academic initiatives that support institutional goals.
- Participate continuous professional development by participating in training programs, workshops, and academic conferences to enhance teaching and research effectiveness.
- Engage with the business and professional community, fostering industry collaboration and supporting the university's outreach, innovation, and impact initiatives.
- A Ph.D. in finance and financial technology, or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university, preferably accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, or listed in the top 200 global ranking.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to high-quality research.
- A proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices in accounting.
- An established portfolio of scholarly research, with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in industry practice, consultancy, or professional service is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CFtP, FDB.
- Industry experience in auditing, or financial reporting.
- At least two years of teaching experience in accredited higher education institutions.
- Ability to integrate industry insights and emerging trends into curriculum design and classroom instruction.
- Capacity to contribute to departmental service, program development, and institutional initiatives.
- Professional proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Arabic is preferred.
