Role Purpose:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Assistant Planning Manager to join our PDS team in Egypt. This role will be responsible for the project controls of running contracts of a mixed-used development. The Assistant Planning Manager will collaborate closely under the Project Controls Manager with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in driving successful project delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain schedule baselines and implement performance monitoring mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Project Controls Manager, supervision consultants, and main contractors to review progress reports.
- Monitor on-site progress and verify contractor-submitted reports.
- Participate in schedule-related meetings and associated processes.
- Review project status with Project Management team and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure integration of sub-schedules from all project parties.
- Review and comment on contractor-submitted EOT (Extension of Time) claims.
- Analyze time impact of scope changes or variations requested by client or contractor.
- Track and report progress against baseline schedule, monitor risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation scenarios.
- Report on schedule progress using metrics like EV (Earned Value) and PV (Planned Value).
- Prepare periodic progress reports and attend progress meetings.
- Assist in drafting progress-related correspondence.
- Produce schedule-related KPIs as required by the project.
- Manage effective communication of cost and schedule responsibilities to all project functions.
Previous experience may include, but not be limited to;
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
- PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience is highly advantageous.
Skills to include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
- PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience is highly advantageous.
