About the role

The Assistant PR Manager (Emerging Markets) plays a key supporting role in PR & marketing communications across a portfolio of brands in key markets. This role contributes to the development and execution of strategic PR strategies, partnerships and campaigns designed to enhance brand visibility, increase consumer reach, and foster meaningful engagement across the portfolio. 

This role supports a portfolio of wine brands across Asia (excluding Greater China), the Middle East and Africa.

Strategy & Planning

  • Support the development of annual PR and communications plans, including implementation and measurement, to strengthen brand positioning across the portfolio of brands in key markets. 
  • Contribute to planning by identifying untapped storytelling opportunities, seasonal moments and relevant brand adjacencies that can elevate the visibility and relevance of the portfolio of brands. 
  • Assist in delivering integrated campaigns across media relations, influencer marketing, and events that align with the priorities of the portfolio of brands in key markets. 
  • Collaborate closely with Brand and Customer Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are aligned, timely, and impactful 


Campaign Management & Reporting 

  • Develop press releases, media alerts and PR pitches, ensuring alignment with the messaging and objectives of the relevant brands. 
  • Adapt and localise globally defined content to optimise consumer recruitment and engagements across the portfolio of brands. 
  • Support the execution of integrated campaigns to drive awareness through earned media and engagement through influencer advocacy. 
  • Work closely with the Brand team to plan and execute events, lead the planning and execution of media events and guide PR agencies on implementation and execution. 
  • Collaborate with Brand & Customer Marketing teams on new product launches and communications across the portfolio of brands to drive synergy in key markets.
  • Track campaign budgets and manage PR-related expenses in line with approved budgets. 
  • Responsible for the delivery of PR coverage reports, and ensure regular review and enhancement of PR reporting standards. Monitor progress and evaluate performance at the end of each campaign. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of media and KOL/influencer contacts. 


Stakeholders and Agency Management 

  • Monitor and evaluate press and social media coverage, as well as industry trends, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, key opinion leaders/influencers and content creators to drive earned media and organic coverage. 
  • Liaise with and oversee PR agencies to ensure campaign deliverables are met, on brief and on budget
  • Act as a bridge between regional and global teams to maintain messaging consistency. 
  • Provide internal teams with monthly updates on PR initiatives, coverage highlights, and key market insights.
  • Contribute to internal communications where relevant, ensuring alignment across functions. 


Issues Management Support 

  • Monitor reputational risks and assist in preparing communications responses in collaboration with the Senior PR Manager. 
  • Contribute to the development of contingency messaging and risk mitigation strategies as needed.


About you

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in communications or public relations/agency or related business environment
  • Passion for the luxury industry, with strong understanding and experience in luxury brands, consumer lifestyle, wine and F&B categories
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of luxury marketing, communications and PR campaigns/activities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – fluency in English is a must 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time with a high level of attention to detail Ability to build, manage and maintain effective stakeholder relationships 
  • Understanding of respective markets media landscape is an advantage
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellence in quality 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, projects and business-as-usual tasks 
  • Be a team player with a flexible can-do attitude and good interpersonal skills; demonstrate commitment to meeting deadlines and supporting colleagues 
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of communications and engagement principles and practice; seek to develop knowledge through new experiences and projects; actively seek out and participate in opportunities to learn
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours and travels for events
