Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Procurement Manager to support procurement activities across multiple business functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, procurement governance, and driving cost-effective purchasing solutions while ensuring service quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with operational and business requirements.
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct supplier sourcing, market research, supplier evaluations, and benchmarking activities.
  • Assist with commercial negotiations, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely processing of purchase requests and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and service standards.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
  • Support risk management initiatives relating to suppliers, contracts, and supply chain continuity.
  • Contribute to spend analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and procurement reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, systems, and efficiencies.
  • Support the implementation and utilisation of procurement technologies and digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
  • Hospitality
  • Facilities Management
  • Construction
  • Aviation
  • Events
  • Property Management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.
  • Good understanding of the UAE supplier market.
  • Experience using ERP systems; Oracle Procurement experience is advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
