We are seeking an experienced Assistant Procurement Manager to support procurement activities across multiple business functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, procurement governance, and driving cost-effective purchasing solutions while ensuring service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with operational and business requirements.
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier sourcing, market research, supplier evaluations, and benchmarking activities.
- Assist with commercial negotiations, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely processing of purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and service standards.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
- Support risk management initiatives relating to suppliers, contracts, and supply chain continuity.
- Contribute to spend analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and procurement reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, systems, and efficiencies.
- Support the implementation and utilisation of procurement technologies and digital platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
- Experience within one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
- Hospitality
- Facilities Management
- Construction
- Aviation
- Events
- Property Management
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.
- Good understanding of the UAE supplier market.
- Experience using ERP systems; Oracle Procurement experience is advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
