Job Description

The role involves teaching and developing courses in Criminal Law, supporting student learning, contributing to research output, and participating in accreditation activities. The candidate must hold a PhD in Law (Criminal Law), be an Assistant Professor with at least two years of university teaching experience, possess a Scopus-indexed research profile, and demonstrate strong bilingual communication and academic skills, along with proficiency in educational technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver courses to students in specified areas of Criminal Law, in alignment with the University's three fundamental standards: Teaching, Research, and Community Service.
  • Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic success.
  • Research, organize, and manage instructional resources, course outlines, and professional networks.
  • Actively seek innovative methods, procedures, and resources to achieve course objectives effectively.
  • Support and participate in institutional and programmatic accreditation initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in Arabic and English.
  • Possession of an active and verifiable research profile on Scopus.
  • Ability to develop and deliver academic and professional presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse and multicultural academic community.
  • Strong ability to create, compose, and edit academic and administrative written materials.
  • Demonstrated skills in program planning and implementation.
  • Familiarity with computerized student information systems.
  • Only candidates holding the rank of Assistant Professor are eligible for this position.

Skills Required

  • PhD in Law, with a specialization directly related to Criminal Law.
  • Minimum of 2 years of university-level teaching experience in Criminal Law.
  • Advanced proficiency in integrating educational technology, including the use of presentation tools, e-learning platforms, and digital reporting systems.
