The School of Engineering and & Computing at the American International University in Kuwait comprises the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The School offers Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field
  
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship
  
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.

The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who leverages professional trends and technologies to deliver relevant classroom experiences. The successful candidate will be a leader and current, active member of the ECE field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in:

• Digital Logic Design
• Control Systems
• Internet of Things
• Cyber-Physical Systems
• Programmable Controllers
• Image Processing and Robot Vision
• Senior design projects
  

The candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The candidate will also be expected to develop research programs, supervise undergraduate students, and make contributions to both school and university service. Evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level related to their specific expertise within the professional ECE curriculum. Also, we expect to play an active role in the leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and start-ups.
