Role Summary

We are currently seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Senior Resident Engineer in the day-to-day construction supervision of a Branded Residences and 5-Star Hotel development.

The role is site-based and focused on ensuring that construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and brand guidelines. The Assistant Resident Engineer will play a key role in site inspections, coordination across disciplines, review of contractor submissions, and reporting on progress and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Resident Engineer in daily site supervision activities.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers, inspectors, and contractors on site.
  • Review and follow up on inspection requests (IRs), method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Monitor contractor performance, work progress, and adherence to approved programmes.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and brand standards.
  • Support supervision of high-quality finishes, guestrooms, residential units, and shared facilities.
  • Prepare daily and weekly site reports highlighting progress, quality issues, and observations.
  • Assist in resolving site issues and coordinating corrective actions as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • 1012 years total experience, with a minimum of 68 years in construction supervision roles.
  • Proven experience on luxury hospitality, branded residences, or high-end building projects.
  • Prior experience supporting a Resident Engineer on 5-star hotel developments.
  • Strong knowledge of site supervision processes, inspections, and progress tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, site-based environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
