Join Us as Assistant Resident Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Resident Engineer in supervising mechanical works, especially in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Oversee construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and standards.
  • Review method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for technical compliance.
  • Monitor progress of mechanical works including pipelines, pumps, HVAC systems, compressors, blowers, and valves.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and participate in testing, commissioning, and acceptance of systems.
  • Maintain site records such as inspection reports, daily logs, NCRs, and RFIs.
  • Participate in site meetings and prepare technical reports on progress and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Assist in contract administration and resolution of technical issues, including review of original piping design.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in STPs, including pumps, piping, valves, blowers, and compressors.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and health & safety guidelines.
  • Expertise in piping and process equipment installation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead mechanical installations, manage inspections, and handle multiple piping concerns simultaneously.
  • Experience supervising and inspecting mechanical installations in compliance with contract documents and codes.
  • Prior experience in similar roles within Abu Dhabi, UAE, or the Gulf region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
