Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Sales Manager to drive solution-based sales initiatives in the controls and BMS sector. This is a hardcore sales role (pure sales) focused on client acquisition and revenue growth, excluding responsibilities related to sales support or project sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic sales plans with a strong focus on solution selling in the controls/BMS domain.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential clients; understand their needs and offer customized solutions.
  • Take ownership of the sales activities for Hyderabad, Bangalore, and the broader South India region.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of controls/BMS products to effectively present solutions and value propositions.
  • Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to close deals successfully.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide necessary technical support and address client inquiries related to offered products and solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Perform market research and analysis to strategize business expansion and penetration into new accounts.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through proactive and strategic sales efforts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
  • 6 to 12 years of proven, hands-on experience in hardcore sales of Controls/BMS products.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a solution-selling environment.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Controls Systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and related technologies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused sales professional.
