Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai for the role of Assistant Sous Chef. The Assistant Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities include assisting in menu planning, ensuring consistent food preparation, monitoring kitchen inventory, and upholding hygiene and safety standards. The role requires collaboration with the culinary team to ensure efficiency and excellence in food service delivery.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills: Proficiency in cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating.
- Kitchen management: Experience with food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory control.
- Organizational and leadership skills: Ability to support the Head Chef and mentor kitchen staff effectively.
- Menu planning: Experience in assisting with menu development and ensuring quality standards.
- Problem-solving and adaptability: Capability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment and unexpected challenges.
- Teamwork and communication: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Relevant culinary certifications or diploma in culinary arts is required.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen is highly preferred.
