Job Description

Position Summary

The Assistant Training Manager plays a vital role in supporting Capital Motion's commitment to operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences. This position assists in identifying employee and organizational development needs and ensures effective training programs are in place to achieve business objectives.

Training initiatives will include orientation, induction programs, cross-training opportunities, and ongoing development sessions covering product knowledge, company philosophy, customer service, and leadership skills. The role also involves conducting needs assessments, designing and delivering training programs, and measuring their effectiveness to ensure a strong return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development Delivery

  • Assist in designing and implementing training programs for all operational areas, including Front of House, Back of House, and management teams.
  • Coordinate and deliver orientation and induction programs for new hires to ensure seamless integration into Capital Motion's culture and standards.
  • Organize and manage cross-training initiatives to enhance workforce flexibility and career development.
  • Promote and communicate all training programs to employees across the organization.
  • Use effective training methods to reinforce brand standards and operational excellence.
  • Observe employee performance during training and provide constructive feedback.

Monitoring Evaluation

  • Track attendance and participation in training sessions.
  • Assess progress through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with operational leaders to confirm employees demonstrate technical and leadership skills post-training.
  • Review guest feedback and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Measure transfer of learning from training to actual operations and recommend adjustments.

Program Planning Budget Support

  • Assist in identifying performance gaps and propose targeted training solutions.
  • Support the development of training plans and budgets aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure all training incorporates adult learning principles and innovative techniques.
  • Align training initiatives with Capital Motion's brand values and service philosophy.

Qualifications

Qualifications Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in training or learning development within hospitality.
  • Certified trainer or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse teams.
  • Skills Competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver impactful training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with LMS platforms is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
