Job Purpose:
Support the Senior Vice President mSMEs in growing and managing the mSME portfolio by assisting in the execution of financing transactions, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development and process efficiency. The AVP plays a key role in ensuring operational effectiveness, client servicing, and supporting relationship managers in meeting performance objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the SVP and VPs in the execution of mSME strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
- Contribute to the achievement of portfolio growth targets by identifying opportunities for client acquisition, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Assist in managing a portfolio of mSME clients by ensuring timely delivery of services, monitoring account performance, and escalating concerns where necessary.
- Support in developing pipeline reporting, MIS tracking, and client engagement analytics to inform strategy and actions.
- Maintain high levels of data accuracy in banking systems and ensure documentation and files are always audit-ready.
- Conduct financial statement analysis and support in preparing credit applications in line with the bank's policies.
- Coordinate with risk, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth processing of client onboarding, approvals, and disbursements.
- Assist in resolving client queries and ensure superior service delivery across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth handoffs across the credit lifecycle, including post-approval implementation and monitoring.
- Monitor client accounts for early warning signs and proactively escalate risks or non-compliance.
- Customer Relationship & Sales Enablement
- Maintain contact with prospective and existing clients to support relationship managers in growing the business.
- Engage with internal stakeholders such as credit, legal, and product teams to align service delivery to client needs.
- Participate in industry networking events and liaise with government and semi-government entities to support EDB's outreach efforts.
- Support VP and SVP in preparing client briefings, proposals, and pitch materials for key engagements.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure client transactions are compliant with the bank's internal policies, regulatory requirements, and KYC/AML frameworks.
- Assist in implementing risk mitigation actions for identified portfolio or transaction risks.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with documentation and monitoring standards.
