Associate Director – Architecture
A leading design and build consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Architecture to join its senior leadership team, supporting the delivery of a major high-profile development project in the UAE.
This is a senior-level opportunity for a commercially aware and technically strong architect with extensive UAE experience, proven client management capabilities, and a strong track record delivering complex projects for major developers in Dubai.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading project teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing projects through all design and post-contract stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural project delivery across large-scale and complex developments
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact with key stakeholders
- Oversee design coordination, technical delivery, and project execution
- Lead multidisciplinary teams throughout all project stages
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, quality, and commercial objectives
- Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, authorities, and developer teams
- Support contract administration and post-contract project delivery activities
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and consultant packages
- Attend senior-level client and project meetings
- Mentor and manage architectural teams within the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- Minimum 18 years professional experience
- Minimum 12 years experience within the UAE market — this is a mandatory requirement
- Fluent Arabic speaking skills are essential
- Proven experience working with major developers in Dubai on large-scale projects
- Strong experience across design, technical delivery, and pre & post-contract stages
- Experience managing complex stakeholder and client relationships
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority processes, regulations, and project delivery standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities
