Commercial Governance Lead

Dubai Holding is seeking an experienced commercial leader to provide independent oversight and governance across complex, high-value programmes.
This role focuses on ensuring strong commercial discipline, robust cost control, and effective management of contractual and financial risk. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and protecting long-term value.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain commercial governance frameworks and standards
- Oversee budget development, cost control, forecasting, and financial exposure
- Review and challenge cost plans, variations, and commercial assumptions
- Provide input into procurement and contract strategies
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Support resolution of claims, changes, and disputes where required
- Provide clear, concise commercial reporting to senior leadership
Candidate profile
- Significant experience in senior commercial, cost, or contract management roles
- Strong understanding of commercial governance, financial controls, and risk management
- Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Confident engaging and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-focused, analytical, and judgement-led
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- Professional commercial or technical certification preferred
- 12+ years of relevant experience in large-scale or complex organisations
