Job Purpose

Job Purpose
- Day-to-day management of Cost Management activities including project delivery and resource management.
- Provide all necessary assistance and commercial support to the Cost Management team ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments. Will be responsible for the review and preparation of interim payments, project variations and other financial matters.
- Attend regular meetings with clients and lead commercial meetings.
- Manage and motivate the cost management team.
- Manage multiple client relationships.
- Recognised Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Ideally qualified to MSc degree level with relevant academic or with post academic professional qualifications to carry out the role.
- Generally, a minimum of 8-12 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory / leadership role.
- Seasoned professional with extensive managerial experience.
- Leads and supervises teams effectively.
- Manage overall team in Cairo office
- Responsible for cost planning and estimation in accordance with RICS NRM standards
- QAQC of all pre and post contract deliverables
- Interface between middle east and SA team.
- Mentoring candidate QS's in Cairo office
- Drive technology advancements i.e. Cost X
- Preparation, submission, and winning proposals (if required).
- Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients.
- Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues.
- Support the commercial success and stability of the cost management division.
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects to exemplary levels of quality.
- Lead and implement AESG business development within the sector of expertise
- Demonstrate expertise in discipline with a proven track record of success.
- Support the development of procedures to improve division function and efficiency.
- Lead project management function AESG-wise (internal AESG project management on projects NOT client project management).
- Support in bid pricing and negotiation (if required).
- Identifying skill gaps in the team.
- Employee development and performance evaluation for direct employees.
- Resourcing and task allocation.
- Pipeline and invoicing management for CM projects under your management.
