Main Purpose of the Role
The Associate Director, Clinical Learning Solutions will elevate clinical education across PureHealth UAE establishing the standards, governance, and commercial rigor that turn good programs into market differentiators. The role at its initial core is building competitive advantage with focus on our residency programs across our multiple Health Care facilities in the UAE to deliver strategic and commercial value, attract and convert the best clinical talent and build competitive reputation.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Residency Program Governance & Strategic Oversight
Partner with clinical education teams including residency operations across PureHealth UAE, to define strategic direction, elevate program quality, and drive outcomes with enhanced business impact.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks for residency program quality, trainee progression, competency assessment, and accreditation compliance.
Advise on residency curriculum design, rotation structures, and learning experiences bringing best practice insights and evidence-based recommendations.
Support resident retention strategies, positioning residency programs as a pipeline for permanent physician employment within PureHealth.
Monitor and report on residency program KPIs including fill rates, completion rates, board pass rates, and post-residency retention.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation bodies (e.g., DOH, MOHAP, international accreditation standards).
Commercial Excellence & Value Creation
Develop and execute a commercial strategy for clinical education, identifying revenue opportunities through external professional education, partnerships, and sponsored programs.
Optimize resource utilization to maximize both capability outcomes and financial returns.
Build business cases for education investments with clear ROI projections; track and report on commercial performance.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, duplication, and low-value activities across the clinical education portfolio.
Negotiate and manage relationships with external education partners, accrediting bodies, and vendors to secure favorable terms and maximize value.
Clinical Education Portfolio & Advisory
Oversee and continuously improve the portfolio of clinical learning solutions, including residency programs, CME/Continuing Education (CE), fellowship support, clinical onboarding, and digital learning platforms.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clinical education teams, providing expert guidance on program design, delivery standards, and quality improvement.
Guide digital learning content sourcing, development, and curation to ensure clinical relevance, quality, and scalability.
Introduce innovation in clinical education, advising on simulation, technology-enabled learning, and future-focused competencies.
Analytics, Outcomes & Performance Measurement
Design and implement comprehensive outcomes measurement frameworks that link learning investments to clinical performance, productivity, and organizational impact.
Build robust data analytics and reporting infrastructure for clinical education programs, enabling evidence-based decision making.
Establish benchmarking practices to compare PureHealth's clinical education performance against regional and international standards.
Translate complex data into compelling insights and recommendations for senior leadership. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Build strong collaborative relationships with clinical education teams, hospital leadership, and corporate functions across PureHealth UAE.
Influence and enable clinical education teams through strategic guidance, best practice sharing, and change leadership building alignment without direct reporting authority.
Present strategic recommendations, program performance, and investment proposals to executive leadership.
Facilitate communities of practice and knowledge sharing among clinical educators across the network.
Person Specifications Qualifications
Master's degree required in Healthcare Administration, Medical Education, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
Clinical degree or background (medicine, nursing, allied health) preferred but not essential.
Experience
Minimum 810 years of progressive experience in clinical education, medical education, or healthcare capability building with demonstrable exposure to residency or GME programs
Proven track record of establishing governance frameworks and quality standards in complex, multi-site healthcare organizations.
Demonstrated experience driving commercial outcomes through education including budget management, ROI delivery, and revenue generation.
Experience building analytics frameworks, outcomes measurement systems, and executive-level reporting.
Track record of success in matrix environments, influencing and driving change without direct supervisory authority.
UAE healthcare sector experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of clinical education best practices, residency program structures, and accreditation requirements (DOH, MOHAP, ACGME-I or equivalent).
Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), digital learning technologies, and clinical simulation.
Strong analytical and financial acumen comfortable with data, budgets, and business case development.
Project management and program governance methodologies.
Change management and stakeholder engagement expertise.
