The project:

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and subcontract packages.

Mace is seeking a highly experienced Associate Director - Electrical Engineering to lead the delivery of major Infrastructure and MEP systems across a complex, large-scale remote programme.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the delivery of major infrastructure MEP systems (power, district cooling, water, utilities) from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Oversee full MEP lifecycle, including programme, HSW, quality, commissioning and project close-out.
  • Provide technical and commercial leadership across tendering, procurement, and contract delivery.
  • Manage and direct design reviews, ensuring compliance, coordination, and alignment with engineering standards.
  • Drive project planning and delivery strategies, including sequencing, logistics, and commissioning approaches (IST, ATP, Soft Landings).
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, influencing clients, consultants, contractors, and senior leadership (up to C-suite).
  • Manage and develop large multi-disciplinary MEP teams, driving performance, behaviours and KPIs.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 15 years experience delivering large-scale MEP/infrastructure projects across complex environments.
  • Strong technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, public health, and integrated systems (BMS, SCADA, FLS, etc.).
  • Proven capability in design management, commissioning and full project lifecycle delivery.
  • Advanced understanding of programme planning, sequencing and critical path management.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
