Your Role will focus on:

  • Driving operational resilience, availability, and service continuity across all enterprise banking systems and channels.
  • Enabling operational excellence through strong governance, cross-domain collaboration, and continuous optimization of IT Operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise IT Operations, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational excellence across all banking systems and channels.
  • Lead Managers/Team Leaders to deliver 24/7 operational coverage, robust incident response, and disciplined change execution.
  • Serve as escalation authority for critical incidents; ensure effective RCA governance and implementation of preventive actions across domains.
  • Govern DR/BCP operational readiness and failover strategy; report resilience posture and remediation plans to leadership forums.
  • Oversee patch, vulnerability remediation coordination, and maintenance programs in partnership with Security, Infrastructure, and Application owners.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs/SLAs, operational risk indicators, and service quality metrics; present performance to senior leadership and audit/risk committees.
  • Ensure compliance with SAMA Cybersecurity controls, operational risk policies, and internal audit requirements; maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Optimize run operations through automation, tooling improvements (observability/ITSM), process standardization, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead workforce planning, competencies development, and succession for the IT Operations function.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Application Support, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders on modernization, capacity planning, and resilience initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 67 years of progressive experience in IT operations/production services with 5+ years in leadership roles within banking or large-scale enterprises.
  • Proven oversight of mission-critical operations, crisis management, and DR/BCP governance.
  • Strong experience with multi-domain infrastructure (compute, storage, virtualization, network, database) and platform operations.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational maturity, automation, and compliance programs.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of operational governance frameworks (ITIL/ISO 20000) and enterprise resilience/continuity practices.
  • Strong command of incident leadership, problem/RCA governance, change risk control, and audit/assurance management.
  • Strategic capability in capacity planning, performance optimization, and operational risk management.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of SAMA Cybersecurity operational expectations and their implementation across operations.
