Role Overview
A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Claims Commercial Manager (Associate Director level) to support a landmark sports and mixed-use mega development in Riyadh.
The role will act as a senior commercial and claims advisor, providing independent, best-in-class guidance to the client across complex construction packages. This position requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate confidently in a client-facing, advisory-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
Claims & Dispute Advisory
- Lead the preparation, review, and evaluation of high-value claims, including EOTs, variations, disruption, prolongation, and loss & expense
- Develop and advise on claims strategies aligned with client objectives and project governance
- Prepare independent entitlement assessments, quantum analysis, and expert position papers
- Support claims negotiations and dispute avoidance initiatives
Commercial & Contractual Advisory
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and administration, typically under FIDIC and bespoke contract forms
- Support the client with change management processes, early warnings, and commercial controls
- Identify, assess, and report commercial and contractual risks at programme and package level
- Review contractor submissions and provide robust, evidence-based recommendations
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as a trusted senior advisor to the client, interfacing with legal teams, contractors, and other consultants
- Support formal dispute resolution processes including amicable settlement, mediation, adjudication, and arbitration
- Contribute to executive-level reporting, steering committees, and governance forums
- Represent the consultancy with professionalism and authority on a high-profile project
Leadership & Consultancy Excellence
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight to junior commercial and claims professionals
- Support business development activities where required, including proposals and client presentations
- Promote best practice, consistency, and quality assurance across claims and commercial outputs
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- Extensive experience in claims, commercial management, or dispute advisory within a consultancy or professional services environment
- Proven track record on large-scale construction, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments
- Experience on sports, stadia, or mega projects is highly desirable
- Steel structures experience is a strong advantage but not essential
- Middle East experience is beneficial but not mandatory
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Law, or similar
- RICS chartership (MRICS / FRICS) preferred, but not essential
- Additional qualifications in claims, dispute resolution, or construction law are advantageous

- Excellent client-facing, communication, and influencing skills
- Commercially astute with a strategic, advisory mindset
