The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the end to end steelwork delivery strategy across a Major Entertainment/Leisure Asset, ensuring alignment with programme milestones.
  • Oversee design assurance, constructability reviews, and compliance with international steelwork codes and standards.
  • Manage the performance of the Steelwork Contractor and ensure they direct logistics, cranage strategies, heavy lifts, and site erection sequencing to ensure safe, efficient installation.
  • Foster collaboration and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to meet expectations.
  • Champion Mace's Safety First values, embedding wellbeing, sustainability, and governance into every stage of delivery.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guiding teams and promoting best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Align programmes with Mace's strategic priorities, integrating digital, data, sustainability, and Construction to Production principles.
  • Drive commercial performance and business growth, contributing to reporting, bidding, resourcing, and wider organisational objectives.
  • Drive exemplary HSE performance across all steelwork activities, with a focus on lifting operations and work at height.
  • Provide clear programme, risk, and commercial reporting to senior stakeholders, supporting change control and governance.

You'll need to have:

  • Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (professional chartership desirable) GCC or KSA experience advantageous.
  • 15+ years experience delivering complex steel structures on major programmes (stadia, bridges, mixed use, cultural or themed assets).
  • Proven expertise in project and programme delivery with strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership experience managing diverse teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, risk management, and innovative programme practices shaping future delivery.
  • Proven track record managing Steelwork Contractors in fast paced mega projects environments.
  • Demonstrable leadership in HSE for steelworks, including heavy lifts and high risk operations.
  • Strong commercial, programme, and risk management capability with excellent client facing communication.
