Associate Director - Senior Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Associate Director - Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects and programmes within a PMCM environment in Riyadh. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, acting as the Client's trusted advisor while overseeing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors across the full project lifecycle.

This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex programmes within the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes.
• Serve as the primary interface with clients, government authorities, executive stakeholders, and key project partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure alignment with programme objectives.
• Establish project governance structures and ensure effective decision-making processes.
• Drive project performance across schedule, cost, quality, risk, safety, and stakeholder management.
• Oversee the review and approval of project plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and delivery methodologies.
• Direct consultants, contractors, and project controls teams to achieve programme objectives.
• Lead executive-level reporting and provide strategic recommendations to client leadership.
• Manage contractual and commercial matters, including change management, claims avoidance, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks while driving opportunities for value creation.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to securing future project opportunities.
• Mentor and develop project management teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Infrastructure Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 18+ years of experience in infrastructure project delivery.
• Proven experience in a PMCM/PMC or Client-side Project Management environment.
• Demonstrated delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects and programmes in the Middle East , preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Strong background in roads, utilities, public realm, transportation, rail, airports, or mixed infrastructure developments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including design, construction, commercial, and project controls functions.
• Strong stakeholder management experience with clients, government authorities, consultants, and contractors.
• Proven track record of managing projects/programmes valued at SAR 1 Billion+.
• Excellent knowledge of project governance, contract administration, risk management, cost management, and project controls.
• Transferable Iqama (T/F Iqama) - Mandatory.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration - Mandatory.
