The Associate Manager – Risk & Compliance supports the Risk and Compliance Manager in evaluating business operations to ensure their effectiveness, adequacy, and long-term sustainability. The role also involves contributing to the development and enhancement of internal policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risk exposure.
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Risk Management
- Support the Risk and Compliance Manager in the development and execution of risk and compliance initiatives
- Analyse retail data and contribute to the preparation of action plans aimed at minimizing losses
- Oversee and monitor the effective use of the integrity hotline within the business
Risk and Compliance Investigation
- Assist in conducting investigations related to fraud, including employee theft, ethical breaches, corruption, and policy violations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions
Risk Evaluation and Analysis
- Identify potential risks and support the development of action plans to maintain safe and secure operational conditions
- Analyse risk assessment outcomes and prepare reports for management review
Policies and Procedures
- Support the review and updating of risk and compliance policies and procedures
- Communicate policies effectively to stakeholders to ensure awareness and reduce risk exposure
Reporting
- Assist in preparing risk and compliance reports for management
- Maintain accurate databases and provide regular updates and reports
- Support troubleshooting of risk and compliance system issues when required
- Manage system requirements and ensure accurate data input and integrity
Human Capital Responsibilities
- Proactively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance technical and leadership capabilities
- Update training materials and support awareness initiatives related to risk and compliance
- Deliver training sessions to employees on relevant policies and procedures
