Associate Product Manager | MAF Retail | Retail Corporate Egypt
Role Summary
The Associate Product Manager supports the execution of product initiatives and contributes to the product development process within Majid Al Futtaim Retail Digital. The role involves assisting in market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive products, helping to inform the product roadmap.The role holder works with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements and supports stakeholders in prioritizing features to ensure alignment with company goals. He/she collaborates with engineering, design, and marketing teams to assist in the development process and contribute to delivering quality products. This role requires a combination of organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to support the success of the organization's product portfolio.
ROLE PROFILE
- Assist in executing the product vision and strategy for MAF Retail Digital under guidance.
- Support innovation efforts by gathering data and identifying basic trends, technologies, and market opportunities.
- Contribute to specific stages of the product lifecycle, such as discovery and implementation.
- Help maintain product roadmaps and ensure they align with company goals.
- Provide support in decision-making by assisting with data analysis and basic product testing strategies like A/B testing.
- Conduct basic market research to understand market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
- Assist in product discovery and data analysis to support business metrics and ROI improvements.
- Act as a supporting liaison between product development and other business units.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies and assist in creating artifacts such as user stories and epics.
- Support MAF Retail leadership and stakeholders by providing updates through agreed communication plans during project execution.
- Assist in building relationships and maintaining partnerships with key personnel to support organizational goals.
- Assist in preparing business presentations and reports related to the Product & Design function for stakeholders on a periodic or ad hoc basis.
- Support regular audits of processes within the Product & Design function to identify gaps and risks, and propose corrective actions under supervision.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant Research policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 3-4+ years of proven experience in product management within a tech or e-commerce company is highly desirable
- Preferably 2+ years in the retail/e-Commerce business or closely related industry
