Junior Project Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project activities are completed on time, within scope, and according to agreed quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, timelines, and task lists.
- Coordinate project activities across internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates.
- Organise project meetings, prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, reports, and records.
- Identify project risks, issues, and delays, and escalate them to the Project Manager.
- Support resource planning and ensure project team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Track project budgets, expenses, purchase orders, and invoices where required.
- Assist with testing, implementation, deployment, and project closure activities.
- Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality and business standards.
- Support process improvements and contribute to project management best practices.
- Perform other project coordination and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, or a related role.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience may also be considered.
- Good organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, or similar tools would be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project management methodologies is preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or other project management certification would be an added advantage.
