Job Description

The Ideal Candidate shall deliver and implement the MAHD technical methodology across all training and competition cycles for an assigned event group, while supervising and supporting athletics coaches to ensure consistent, high-quality coaching practices. The role focuses on effective session delivery, fostering a positive and development-focused environment, and guiding athletes toward their full potential and competitive readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the detailed planning, preparation, and delivery of all training sessions and competitions for the assigned event group.
  • Implement the MAHD Technical Methodology with high fidelity, focusing on individual athlete development and event-specific tactics.
  • Conduct and document individual athlete performance assessments, formal feedback sessions, and individual development planning.
  • Manage all aspects of competition analysis, meet planning, and performance strategies during fixtures.
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and highly motivating training environment in strict adherence to the Code of Conduct.
  • Liaise directly with Sports Science staff to monitor and manage individual athlete load, fitness, and injury prevention protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor all Assistant Coaches and Coordinators assigned to the team, managing their daily duties.
  • Prepare and submit detailed weekly training reports, athlete progress summaries, and post-competition analysis reports.
  • Communicate all training schedules, performance expectations, and development goals clearly to both athletes and parents.
  • Actively contribute to the identification and scouting of new talent for the program and the wider Academy.
  • Lead the development of a strong and positive team culture aligned with the Academy's values.
  • Manage athlete discipline and adherence to all team rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Athletics Manager on all logistical and administrative needs for the team.
  • Participate in all mandatory coach education, professional development, and technical review meetings.
  • Take responsibility for the care and proper use of all technical equipment assigned to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Coaching Science or Sports Education. World Athletics Level III certification (or equivalent advanced coaching certification) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience coaching Athletics at a high-level club or academy.
  • English Language proficiency is a must.
