Role Description The Audio Vestibular Medicine Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with auditory and vestibular (balance) disorders, using specialized diagnostic tools and evidence-based protocols. Daily tasks include conducting audiological and vestibular evaluations, interpreting test results, developing treatment and rehabilitation plans, and documenting clinical findings in accordance with hospital standards. The specialist collaborates closely with ENT physicians, neurologists, pediatric teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Additional responsibilities include educating patients and families about conditions and treatment options, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and staying current with advances in audio-vestibular medicine.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Live Sound and Audio Engineering relevant to diagnostic and rehabilitation equipment used in audio-vestibular medicine.
- Proficiency in Audio Editing and familiarity with Audio Visual (AV) Systems for clinical reporting, educational materials, and patient counseling tools.
- Ability to use Social Media professionally for patient education, community outreach, and promoting awareness of audio-vestibular health, in line with hospital policies.
- Relevant university degree in Audiology, Audio-Vestibular Medicine, or a closely related field; postgraduate specialization or certification in vestibular assessment and management is an advantage.
- Previous clinical experience in audiology or vestibular clinics, ideally within a hospital or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Strong patient communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively within diverse, interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to clinical ethics, continuous professional development, and adherence to international best practices and local regulatory requirements.
