Job Summary
The Audio Video Technician is responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of
audio-visual systems to ensure high-quality sound and video performance in commercial, residential, and institutional facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain projectors, LED/LCD displays, video walls, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and control systems.
- Configure and test AV systems including conference room, auditorium, PA, and home automation systems.
- Troubleshoot AV hardware, cabling, and control system issues.
- Install and terminate HDMI, VGA, CAT6, fiber optic, and AV cabling.
- Read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, and layouts.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AV systems.
- Coordinate with ELV/IT teams and site engineers during installation and commissioning.
- Maintain service reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Audio Visual, IT, or related field.
- AV system certifications are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 25 years of experience as an AV Technician.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, conference centers, or smart buildings preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and components.
- Ability to troubleshoot audio and video issues.
- Familiarity with control systems and signal flow.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
