Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, offers 213 luxurious guestrooms and suites, six private pool villas, and 161 fully furnished serviced apartments featuring a one-kilometre private beach which blends modern Arabic design with exceptional comfort.

As an A/V Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment to support hotel meetings, conferences, events and daily operations. And you will ensure all AV systems are functioning properly and provide timely technical support to guests, colleagues, and event organizers. Also, you will assist with troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and delivering seamless technical support for all events.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and special events.
• Operate and troubleshoot projectors, LED screens, microphones, speakers, mixers, lighting systems, video conferencing, and presentation equipment.
• Conduct equipment checks and sound/video testing before events to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide on-site technical support to guests, event organizers, and hotel departments during events.
• Maintain AV equipment, cables, accessories, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
  
  

About You

• Good technical knowledge of professional audio-visual equipment and systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, lighting, and connectivity issues quickly.
• Knowledge of microphones, mixers, speakers, projectors, LED screens, and video conferencing systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Diploma or Certificate in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an AV Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Previous experience in a hotel, events, conference venue, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Experience with professional AV equipment, event technology, and troubleshooting is required.
