ABOUT THE ROLE

As the AV-L Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering function responsible for the design, technical coordination and delivery of complex:

You will act as the technical authority for AV-L engineering, ensuring designs are technically robust, coordinated, compliant, constructible and delivered on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and manage the AV-L engineering team across multiple concurrent mega projects.
• Plan resources, assign work packages and monitor engineering workloads and deadlines.
• Establish design review gates, QA/QC procedures, engineering templates and technical standards.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables before submission to clients, consultants and project teams.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews and develop a high-performing specialist team.

Design & Technical Management

• Lead AV-L design from Concept & Tender Design through Detailed Design, IFC/Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Installation Support, Testing & Commissioning.
• Review system architectures, block diagrams, signal flows, schematics and technical documentation.
• Review equipment layouts, rack elevations, cable schedules, patching schedules and network requirements.
• Validate technical calculations and system performance.
• Ensure designs are installation-ready, maintainable and fully coordinated with other disciplines.
• Mega-Project Coordination
• Lead AV-L engineering for complex venues and developments such as:
• Stadiums & Arenas
• Theatres & Amphitheatres
• Hotels & Hospitality
• Museums & Experience Centers
• Entertainment Destinations
• Transport Hubs
• Mixed-Use Developments
• Coordinate with KSA Project Management, Presales, Estimation, Procurement, Commercial, BIM, ICT/ELV and Site Teams.
• Manage interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical, MEP and interior-design disciplines.
• Identify high-risk and long-lead packages early and drive technical decisions.

PRESALES & COMMERCIAL SUPPORT

• Support presales teams with technical solutions and bid strategies.
• Review vendor quotations for technical completeness, quantities, exclusions, warranties and long-lead risks.
• Support estimation with accurate BOMs, engineering assumptions and commissioning requirements.
• Lead technical value-engineering proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, dependencies, assumptions and potential variation risks.
• Maintain vendor-neutral engineering judgment when evaluating technologies and manufacturers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communications, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive AV / Professional Audio / Video / Lighting engineering experience.
• 4–5+ years in a Senior Lead, Discipline Lead or Engineering Management position is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary AV-L designs for mega projects and high-profile venues.
• Strong experience with consultant design processes, tender, IFC, shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Strong understanding of AV system architecture, signal flow, DSP, video systems, lighting control and AV networking.
• Experience supporting projects in Saudi Arabia / GCC is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Arabic is an advantage.

TECHNICAL TOOLS & PLATFORMS

Experience with major AV/control ecosystems such as:

Crestron | Extron | Q-SYS | Biamp | Bose Professional | Harman/JBL | Shure | Sennheiser | Yamaha | Barco | Datapath | VuWall

Experience with LED/media ecosystems such as:

Samsung | Unilumin | Absen | INFiLED | ROE or equivalent.

Professional lighting experience with platforms such as:

ETC | MA Lighting | Martin | Vari-Lite | Pharos | Madrix or equivalent.

Design/documentation tools:

AutoCAD | Revit/BIM | EASE/EASE Focus | Soundvision | ArrayCalc | DIALux/Relux | Vectorworks Spotlight or comparable tools.
