Job Description
We are a well-established, boutique audit and accounting firm based in Dubai, serving a diverse portfolio of regional and international clients, primarily SMEs, across multiple industries. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our audit practice and take ownership of a portfolio of statutory audit engagements.
This is a confidential search, and interested candidates are assured full discretion throughout the process.
About the Role
Reporting to the Audit Partner, the Audit Manager will lead audit engagements from planning through to finalization, manage a team of audit professionals, and serve as a key point of technical and client-facing leadership within a growing audit department of around 10 professionals, within a firm with a total staff strength of 30.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, execute, and finalize statutory and regulatory audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Take end-to-end ownership of audits for entities registered in the UAE, including Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), including holding company structures, group consolidations, and related regulatory filings.
• Perform and review risk assessments, materiality determinations, and audit approach design tailored to each client's industry and risk profile.
• Review and finalize audit files, financial statements, and disclosures prepared by the audit team, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to quality control standards.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and resourcing across multiple concurrent audits, escalating risks and issues to Partners as required.
• Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for client management on assigned engagements, building strong, trust-based relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit seniors and staff, supporting their technical growth and on-the-job training.
• Stay current on developments in IFRS, ISA, and relevant regulatory frameworks (including ADGM and other applicable regulators), and cascade technical updates to the wider team.
• Contribute to the firm's audit methodology, quality control procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Partners in proposal development, scoping, and fee discussions for new and existing audit engagements.
Candidate Profile
• Professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA member in good standing.
• Approximately 8-10 years of post-qualification and progressive experience in external/statutory audit, ideally including time within an accounting or audit firm environment.
• Demonstrated experience finalizing audits of holding company structures, including group consolidations.
• Prior experience auditing entities regulated within jurisdictions such as ADGM, DIFC, or similar regulated jurisdictions preferred, given the firm's active client base and regulatory engagement within these frameworks.
• Strong technical command of IFRS and ISA, with the ability to apply standards independently to complex or judgmental areas.
• Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously across varied industries and regulatory regimes.
• Track record of leading and developing audit teams, with strong file review and coaching skills.
• Excellent client relationship management skills, with the confidence to engage directly with senior client stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience within the UAE or broader GCC audit market is required.
• Candidates with a valid UAE driving license are preferred.
What We Offer
• A managerial role within a growing audit practice, with genuine ownership of client portfolios.
• Direct exposure to Partners and a collegial, close-knit firm culture.
• A varied portfolio of clients, including ADGM-regulated holding structures and cross-border groups.
• A clear path for professional growth within the firm.
