Grade: As per Company Structure

Reports To: Internal Audit Manager

Job Purpose

The Audit Section Head is responsible for leading and managing internal audit assignments across the home appliances retail operationsfrom audit planning through execution and final reporting. The role ensures effective risk management, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across retail stores, warehouses, supply chain, and head office functions.

Key Accountabilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments from planning to issuance of final audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.
  • Attend and actively contribute to audit kick-off and exit meetings with auditees and senior management.
  • Direct, coach, and supervise the audit team throughout audit engagements.
  • Ensure audit programs adequately address key business risks, internal controls, and operational objectives relevant to retail operations (stores, inventory, logistics, cash handling, and sales).
  • Review audit working papers, findings, and draft reports to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Oversee follow-up audits to monitor implementation of agreed corrective actions.
  • Conduct special audits, investigations, and management-requested reviews when required.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Prepare and present quarterly internal audit reports highlighting key findings, risk areas, and recommendations to management.
  • Escalate critical issues and control weaknesses in a timely and professional manner.

Departmental Objectives

  • Contribute to achieving the Internal Audit Department's annual KPIs and strategic objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to governance, risk management, and internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional audit certification such as CIA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent (mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of internal or external audit experience with a reputable organization.
  • Experience within retail, FMCG, or distribution environments is a strong advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate audit teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Arabic communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) are preferred.
