Our client is a major international museum and cultural institution based in Abu Dhabi, part of one of the region's leading cultural districts. They host a continuous programme of exhibitions, live events and public programming across art, culture and design, drawing visitors from around the world.

The Role

JAM Event Services is recruiting an experienced Auditorium Technical Officer on behalf of our client, to join a flexible freelance pool providing on-site technical support for audio, lighting and video during events in the venue's auditorium.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all technical operations in the auditorium during events, including audio, lighting and video setups
• Operate and manage line array audio systems, LED screen setups and related AV equipment
• Support technical requirements across lighting, sound and video for a range of live events and programming
• Prepare and interpret CAD drawings for technical setups
• Ensure technical operations comply with basic health and safety protocols
• Work flexibly across ad hoc shifts, including outside normal hours and longer shift lengths as required

What You Will Bring

• Experience with L-Acoustics Line Array systems and Yamaha CL5 audio consoles, and familiarity with Dante networking
• Experience with LED screen setups, ATEM Mini Extreme Pro / AnalogWay Pulse 4K video switching, and basic projection knowledge
• Experience with grandMA3 lighting consoles, sACN protocol and moving-head fixtures (e.g. Martin Quantum), plus basic lighting design skills
• CAD drawing skills for technical planning
• Strong understanding of basic health and safety protocols in a live event or auditorium environment
• Own UAE visa, own transport, and ability to obtain a labour card
• Flexibility and availability for ad hoc shifts, including outside normal working hours

Contract Details

• Contract type: Freelance
• Duration: Open-ended - ad hoc shifts based on venue availability and the event schedule
• Location: On-site, Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Rate: AED 1,500 per day
• Visa: Candidate must hold their own UAE visa and be able to obtain a labour card; no accommodation provided
