Automation & AIOps SME

This position is on-site based in Damascus Governorate, Syria.

Position Objective:

Providing deep technical expertise to support the automation and AIOps framework design, developing detailed automation specifications and integration requirements, and validating readiness ahead of Day-1 launch. Post-launch, the role transitions to providing technical oversight of the MSP Automation & AIOps function.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed automation specifications — fault detection, event correlation, ticket creation, remediation workflows per domain, etc.
• Develop AIOps technical specifications — anomaly detection model requirements, training data specifications, and QoS degradation prediction use cases.
• Define technical requirements between AIOps, NMS, SIEM, ITSM, IT monitoring, and OSS/BSS.
• Develop automation governance documentation — change control procedures, testing frameworks, and rollback requirements.
• Support the Automation Lead in defining skills requirements and training content, and participate in automation testing, AIOps output validation, and acceptance testing.
• Define KPI measurement methodology for automation effectiveness KPIs — data sources, calculation logic, and reporting configuration.
• Contribute to OAT (Operational Acceptance Testing) by validating automation workflows and AIOps model accuracy.
• Review MSP automation workflow changes and validate technical accuracy and regression impact.
• Assess AIOps model performance data — false positive rates, detection accuracy, and prediction lead times.
• Support automation governance reviews with technical analysis of automation failures and model drift.
• Validate MSP AIOps model retraining and update quality against agreed specifications.
• Support continual service improvement (CSI) efforts by providing technical analysis of automation

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years in network operations, automation engineering, or AI/ML application to operations.
• Technical expertise in AIOps platforms, automation tools, and network analytics.
• Experience developing automation specifications and AI/ML model requirements for NOC or SOC environments.
• Knowledge of integration patterns between AIOps, NMS, SIEM, and OSS/BSS.
• Experience in a wholesale or carrier environment is advantageous.
• Deep technical knowledge of network automation, AIOps platforms, and AI/ML for operations.
• Ability to develop detailed automation and AIOps technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with AIOps platforms, NMS, SIEM, ITSM, and OSS/BSS integration.
