Automation & Controls Engineer, Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of automation and motion control solutions using PLC, Robotics, Vision and Motion technologies.

Manage automation projects from solution design through commissioning and completion.

Develop system architecture, review electrical designs and select control system components.

Optimise PLC, Motion, Vision, Robot, AGV and Servo systems to improve productivity and reliability.

Analyse equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements.

Provide technical leadership, customer consultation and solution presentations.

Collaborate with Sales, HQ, suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

Mentor junior engineers and recommend new automation technologies.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years experience in automation, motion control or machine builder industries.

Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, robotics, motion control, servo systems and industrial automation.

Proven experience managing automation projects from concept to implementation.

Experience in Semiconductor, Display or Secondary Battery industries is preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and regional teams.

Experience mentoring junior engineers and willingness to travel are advantageous.
