Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium, Python, and Linux environments, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (WebDriver).
  • Develop automation frameworks using Java and/or Python.
  • Execute automated test cases and analyze test results.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test requirements and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Work in Linux environments for deployment, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify bugs, report defects, and track them to closure using defect management tools.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Continuously improve test coverage and optimize automation scripts.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • Java and/or Python programming
    • Selenium WebDriver
  • Good understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, PyTest, JUnit).
  • Experience working with Linux/Unix systems (basic commands, scripting).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
  • Understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured is a plus).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Behave).
  • Exposure to performance or security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Bash).
