Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnostics
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment and scanners.
- Identify faults in engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and analyze vehicle performance data.
Repair & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair issues related to engine management systems, sensors, and control modules.
- Troubleshoot problems in ABS, airbag systems, fuel systems, and electrical circuits.
- Conduct inspections to determine the root cause of mechanical or electrical failures.
Technical Support
- Assist other technicians with complex repair issues.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and standard repair procedures.
- Provide recommendations for required repairs and replacement parts.
Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct test drives and performance tests to ensure issues are resolved.
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed diagnostic reports and service records.
- Communicate diagnostic findings to service advisors and workshop managers.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 37 years of experience as an automotive technician or diagnostic technician.
