Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection & Diagnosis
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or electronic issues.
- Perform diagnostic tests using automotive diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Identify faults in engine, transmission, braking systems, and electrical systems.
Repair & Maintenance
- Carry out repair and replacement of defective parts such as brakes, suspension, batteries, and engine components.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and general servicing.
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose vehicle performance issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Assist senior technicians with complex technical problems.
Testing & Quality Checks
- Conduct test drives to ensure repairs have resolved issues.
- Verify vehicle performance and safety before handing it back to customers.
Workshop Safety & Documentation
- Follow workshop safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain proper service records and repair documentation.
- Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 26 years of experience as an automobile technician in a workshop or dealership.
