Overview
We are looking for an experienced CAE Crash Engineer with strong expertise in automotive crash simulation, particularly Instrument Panel (IP) / Dashboard and interior trim crash analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LS-DYNA and ANSA/HyperMesh and will support crash and impact simulation activities for automotive interior components.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned crash and impact simulation load cases under the guidance of the Lead Engineer.
- Perform simulations for:
- Head Impact (ECE R21)
- Knee Impact
- Low Temperature Impact
- Trailer-Back Impact Cases
- Build, prepare, and execute LS-DYNA simulation models following established methodologies and boundary conditions.
- Perform first-level post-processing of simulation results and prepare technical reports for review.
- Identify correlation issues, modelling anomalies, and simulation concerns, escalating them to the Lead Engineer when required.
- Deliver assigned simulation activities within planned project schedules and shift-based execution.
- Maintain simulation documentation, checklists, model traceability, and execution records.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer and project team to ensure high-quality CAE deliverables.
Required Skills & ExperienceEducation
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Automotive CAE.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in automotive crash and impact simulation for:
- Instrument Panel (IP)
- Dashboard
- Plastic Trims
- Interior Components
