The Role

We are looking for a Director / Sr. Director – Broking Business to lead the growth charter of Univest's discount broking platform.

This is a business leadership role responsible for driving customer acquisition, activation, retention, trading growth, and overall business performance. The ideal candidate has previously scaled a consumer fintech, investment, trading, broking, or wealth-tech business and possesses a deep understanding of investor behavior, funnel optimization, lifecycle management, and growth economics.

The individual will work closely with Product, Marketing, Research, Technology, Operations, and Leadership teams to drive sustainable and profitable growth.

What You Owns

Business Growth & P&L Ownership

  • Drive growth of the broking business across customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and revenue.
  • Own and monitor key business metrics including funded accounts, active traders, AUM, customer retention, trading volumes, revenue, and customer lifetime value.
  • Build and execute short-term and long-term growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive business performance through data-backed decision making.

Customer Acquisition

  • Develop and scale acquisition channels across organic, paid, referral, partnerships, affiliates, and performance marketing.
  • Improve customer acquisition efficiency while maintaining healthy CAC economics.
  • Identify new growth opportunities, customer segments, and market expansion initiatives.

Activation & Funnel Optimization

  • Own the end-to-end customer journey from lead generation to KYC completion, account activation, first trade, and repeat transactions.
  • Continuously optimize conversion funnels to improve onboarding and activation rates.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to eliminate friction points and improve customer experience.

Retention & Lifecycle Management

  • Design strategies to improve customer engagement, retention, and trading frequency.
  • Build lifecycle journeys, reactivation campaigns, and personalized customer experiences.
  • Drive customer stickiness through product adoption and value realization.

Analytics & Data-Driven Growth

  • Establish growth dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Deeply analyze user cohorts, behavioral data, funnel metrics, and business KPIs.
  • Identify growth levers through experimentation, A/B testing, and customer insights.
  • Build a culture of metrics-driven execution across teams.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Technology, Research, Operations, Compliance, and Customer Success teams.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track industry trends, customer behavior, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
  • Recommend business and product enhancements to strengthen market positioning.

What We Need

  • 8–15 years of experience in Growth, Business, Consumer Internet, Fintech, WealthTech, Broking, or Financial Services.
  • Proven experience scaling a consumer-facing digital platform with measurable business impact.
  • Strong understanding of discount broking, trading platforms, investment products, investor lifecycle, and customer behavior.
  • Demonstrated success in driving acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth at scale.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, growth metrics, and business reporting.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Technology teams to drive growth initiatives.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong ownership and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
