Azure Architect – Permanent Role

I am currently supporting a leading organization in Riyadh that is looking to hire a Senior Azure Architect on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions for enterprise and banking customers.
The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end cloud solution architecture, covering landing zone design, governance, hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity, workload migration and modernization, security and compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery, and technical leadership from design through to implementation and operational transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end Azure cloud solution architecture for assigned customer engagements
- Design secure, scalable, and highly available Azure environments, including landing zones, subscription structures, networking, identity, security, monitoring, and governance
- Translate business and technical requirements into architecture decisions, HLDs, LLDs, reference designs, and implementation roadmaps
- Lead design discussions across migration, modernisation, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud integration, backup, disaster recovery, and resilience
- Work closely with delivery teams to validate build approaches, review technical configurations, and support issue and risk resolution
- Ensure architectures align with enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards, particularly for banking and regulated environments
- Support technical workshops, customer presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and steering discussions
- Contribute to effort estimates, technical proposals, BoM inputs, design assumptions, and solution dependencies where required
- Guide automation and Infrastructure as Code adoption using appropriate tools and reusable patterns
- Mentor engineers and architects while helping to establish repeatable cloud architecture best practices
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong Azure architecture experience across enterprise-scale cloud environments
- Deep knowledge of Azure landing zones, management groups, subscriptions, Azure Policy, RBAC, and Entra ID integration
- Strong Azure networking experience, including VNets, peering, Private Link, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and Load Balancer concepts
- Experience across Azure compute, storage, PaaS data services, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery
- Proven experience producing high-level and low-level design documentation
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, security baseline design, HA/DR, RTO/RPO-driven architecture, and operational handover
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation patterns using Terraform, Bicep/ARM, scripting, and CI/CD principles
- Strong stakeholder management, customer-facing communication, and technical leadership skills
- Previous experience working with banking, financial services, or regulated customers would be highly beneficial
This role would suit a senior Azure Architect who is comfortable operating in customer-facing environments and leading complex cloud architecture engagements from strategy and design through to delivery.
