We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Automation Lead to drive our enterprise cloud automation strategy and lead the transformation towards intelligent, autonomous cloud operations.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for modernizing Azure Cloud Operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, AIOps, and Self-Service Cloud Platforms. You will define automation standards, establish governance, and build scalable cloud platforms that improve operational efficiency while reducing manual intervention.
The ideal candidate combines deep Azure expertise with strong automation, DevSecOps, and engineering leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Automation Strategy
- Define and execute the enterprise Azure automation roadmap.
- Develop cloud automation maturity models and target operating models.
- Lead automation initiatives across cloud infrastructure, security, and operations.
- Drive adoption of policy-driven and autonomous cloud operations.
Platform Engineering
- Design and build reusable cloud platform services.
- Develop self-service cloud provisioning capabilities.
- Standardize deployment blueprints and reusable platform modules.
- Establish enterprise landing zones and golden templates.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Own Terraform strategy, governance, and best practices.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules.
- Manage repository standards and version control.
- Eliminate manual infrastructure deployments through automation.
DevSecOps
- Design and govern enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate security controls into deployment workflows.
- Implement Policy-as-Code and compliance automation.
- Establish deployment governance and release standards.
Cloud Operations Automation
- Automate provisioning, onboarding, monitoring, backup, patching, scaling, and compliance.
- Implement event-driven automation.
- Develop automated incident response and remediation workflows.
AIOps & Autonomous Operations
- Implement predictive monitoring and intelligent alerting.
- Integrate ServiceNow workflows.
- Develop self-healing automation and remediation runbooks.
- Enable autonomous cloud operations wherever practical.
Leadership
- Lead cloud automation initiatives across engineering teams.
- Mentor DevOps and Cloud Engineers.
- Drive cloud operational excellence.
- Present automation strategy and executive-level reporting.
Requirements
Experience
- 10+ years of Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering experience.
- 5+ years leading DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Automation teams.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Azure automation programs.
- Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives.
