BA/BI Consultant

Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders—particularly finance teams—and the delivery/technical teams. The role requires strong financial domain expertise to gather requirements, define reporting logic, and translate business needs into actionable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

• Lead and facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with business and finance stakeholders
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, financial KPIs, and analytical use cases
• Define financial data requirements including metrics, ratios, and reporting logic
• Develop detailed functional specifications for dashboards and financial reports
• Define data mappings, business rules, and financial transformations for ETL processes
• Collaborate with data engineering and offshore teams to ensure clarity on requirements and financial logic
• Enable self-service BI and ad-hoc reporting capabilities with proper governance and access control
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with finance users and validating outputs
• Ensure alignment of BI solutions with financial reporting standards and business objectives

• 5–8+ years of experience in Business Analysis / BI Consulting roles
• Strong domain expertise in Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Financial Reporting)
• In-depth understanding of financial KPIs, ratios, and performance metrics
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Actual vs Budget vs Forecast analysis
  • Variance analysis and trend reporting
• Solid knowledge of financial statements:
  • P&L (Profit & Loss)
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow
  • General Ledger (GL) structures
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, and financial data transformations
• Experience with BI tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud or equivalent (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with senior finance stakeholders (CFO, FP&A teams)
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts into scalable BI solutions
