About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Java & Go Software Engineer to design, develop, and scale the backend systems powering a mission-critical healthcare platform used by thousands of healthcare providers and patients.
This role is ideal for a senior backend engineer with deep expertise in Java and Go, who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing distributed systems, and leading engineering initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping the backend architecture, driving technical excellence, and mentoring engineers while building secure, scalable, and high-performance services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Go.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Design high-performance APIs and backend services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Drive technical decisions, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Optimize system performance, resiliency, and observability.
- Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Review code, mentor engineers, and promote clean coding standards.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native deployments, and operational excellence.
- Participate in technical planning, estimation, and roadmap discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Go in production environments.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and modern Java development.
- Strong understanding of Go concurrency, performance optimization, and backend development best practices.
- Proven experience designing and building microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of system design, scalability, performance tuning, and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
- Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building healthcare or other highly regulated platforms.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
