Job Summary
The Back End LSM Operator-1 is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Back End LSM (Liner Seam Monitoring) machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality can ends according to specifications and production schedules.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Back End LSM equipment and associated machinery, including troubleshooting minor issues and performing routine adjustments.
- Conduct regular quality checks on can ends, ensuring they meet specified standards for liner application, seam integrity, and overall product quality.
- Perform visual inspections and utilize quality control tools to identify defects and deviations from quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) when performing maintenance or clearing jams.
- Document production data accurately, including output, downtime, and quality control results.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and cleaning procedures as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with machine operation.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
