Role Description
Shabakkat is looking for a Back Office Engineer —Fixed Access L1 Engineer to join our team in Kuwait.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line back-office support for LTE eRAN and Microwave networks, ensuring network availability, troubleshooting faults, supporting integration activities, managing network configurations, and meeting customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The role requires close coordination with internal teams, field engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure efficient incident management and continuous network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform L2 troubleshooting for LTE eRAN and Microwave networks.
- Support integration and commissioning of new sites, including relocations, carrier additions, COW, and single-sector deployments.
- Validate and accept newly integrated network elements.
- Handle fault management activities and resolve Remedy trouble tickets within SLA.
- Monitor and analyze daily network alarms and performance reports.
- Escalate complex technical issues to Huawei third-line support and provide required logs and technical data.
- Perform network configuration and change management activities.
- Conduct LTE eRAN network audits and health checks.
- Provide second-level technical support for incidents escalated from first-line support.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
- Perform signaling trace analysis (FMA, Transexpert, etc.).
- Conduct license audits for LTE eNodeBs.
- Support transmission teams during network cutover activities, including Ethernet port and speed modifications.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure compliance with operational procedures and SLAs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve network performance and service quality.
QualificationsMandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (Mandatory).
- Candidates must be currently based in Kuwaitorbased in India and willing to relocate to Kuwait.
- Previous experience in Telecom Back Office, NOC, or Network Operations.
- Experience supporting LTE eRAN, Microwave, or Fixed Access networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
- Experience working with OSS/NMS platforms and Trouble Ticketing systems.
- Good understanding of network alarms, network configuration, integration, and change management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to join immediately or within one month.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Huawei network equipment.
- Knowledge of Remedy TT, iCare, RFC processes, FMA, Transexpert, and related telecom tools.
- Experience working under customer SLA-driven environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
