Job Summary:
Responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing stock while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the back-store area is clean, safe, and well organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming goods against invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
- Check quantities, quality, expiry dates, and product condition.
- Properly arrange and label stock in the back store.
- Issue stock to relevant departments according to approved requests.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with physical inventory checks.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged items, and expired products.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and other departments regarding stock requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports when required.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage or loss.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and stock-control procedures.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory software is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move stock when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
2–5 years of relevant store/warehouse experience preferred.
